Why it was refused
Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposed development, by reason of its scale, massing and close proximity in relation to
neighbouring habitable room windows/doors within no.96A Wakeman Road, would unacceptably
reduce the already limited outlook for this neighbouring occupier, contrary to policy DMP1 of the
Brent Local Plan.
2
The proposal would fail to provide an acceptable standard of accommodation for future occupiers.
More specifically, given the insufficient private internal and external amenity space proposed, the
proposal would fail to meet the minimum standards required for a unit of its type. The proposal
would therefore fail to comply with policy BH13 of the Brent Local Plan and policy D6 of the
London Plan.
