Why it was refused
Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposed single storey rear conservatory, by reason of its excessive depth when combined
with the existing single storey rear extension would have a detrimental impact to the amenities of
the adjoining occupiers. The scale of the development would be harmful to the overall character of
the host dwelling due to its excessive depth in combination with the existing extension and the
extensive development on the site. As such the single storey rear extension does not comply
with DMP1 of the Development Management Policies 2016 and Supplementary Planning
Document 2 – Residential Extensions and Alterations 2018.
