Why it was refused

Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The roof extension by reason of bulk, mass, siting and design is considered to result in bulky, over dominant and incongruous addition that fail to relate to sufficiently to the host property and wider terrace in which the site sits. The proposed development is considered to result in harm to the character and appearance of the host properties and would disrupt the rhythm and coherence the wider terrace. The development is therefore inconsistent with, Policy DMP 1 of the Brent Development Management Policies Plan (2016) and SPD 1: Brent Design Guide 2018 and SPD 2: Residential Extensions and Alterations.
