Why it was refused
Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposed two storey extension by reason of the design, roof form and its relationship with the
existing dwelling would be detrimental to the character and appearance of the dwelling and wider
locality. The development therefore fails to comply with DMP 1 of the Development Management
Policies 2016 and with Supplementary Planning Document 2 – Residential Extensions and
Alterations 2018.
2
The proposed two-storey extension by virtue of its proximity to the boundary would have an
unacceptable overbearing impact on the existing amenities of the adjoining occupiers on Dollis
Hill Lane contrary to DMP1 of the Development Management Policies 2016, and the guidance
contained within Supplementary Planning Document SPD2.
