Why it was refused

Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposed two storey side extension would fail to appear as a suitably subservient addition to the dwellinghouse due to its lack of set back or down, it would therefore fail to comply with DMP1 of Brent’s Local Plan 2019-2041 and Supplementary Planning Document 2 2018.
2
By reason of a lack of information provided regarding on site water management and surface water attenuation, the proposal fails to demonstrate compliance with Policy BSUI4 of Brent’s Local Plan 2019-2041, with regard to ensuring that the proposals would make adequate provision for the control and reduction of surface water run-off, which is considered especially important given the site's location within a Critical Drainage Area (CDA).
