Why it was refused
Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposed telecommunications equipment, by virtue of its design, siting and excessive height,
would result in a visually incongruous and overly dominant form of development, detrimental to the
visual amenities, character and appearance of the streetscene and Sudbury Court Conservation
Area. It would also have an unacceptable impact on highway safety. Prior Approval is therefore
required and refused having regard to Part 16 of the Town and Country (General Permitted
Development) (England) Order 2015, as amended.
