Why it was refused
Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposed development due to its excessive height, siting, massing and
design would represent an incongruous form of development that is considered
harmful to the streetscene and out of keeping with the established pattern of
development of the area. Therefore, contrary to policy NPPF (2023), policy D4 of the
London Plan (2021), and policy 7.4 of the Ealing Development Management DPD
(2013).
2
The proposed development does not demonstrate that Flats 1, 2, 3 and 4
would provide adequate living conditions for future occupants in terms of
daylight/sunlight, bedrooms area, living/dining/kitchen area. Therefore , the
proposal would fail to comply with policies D3, D4 and D6 of the London Plan 2021,
London Housing Design Guidance 2023 and policies 7A and 7B of the Ealing DPD
2013.
