Why it was refused
Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposed two storey side extension by reason of its design, height and
scale, would result in an incongruous and discordant form of development, that
would fail to be subordinate or sympathetic to the host dwelling, resulting in
harm to the character and appearance of the host dwelling and the visual
amenity of the local area and streetscene. As such, the proposal is contrary
policies D3 and D4 of the London Plan (2021), policies 7.4 and 7B of the Ealing
Development Management DPD (2013) and policy DAA of Ealing's draft new Local
Plan (Regulation 19).
