Why it was refused
Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposed development, by reason of its contrived layout, the lack of
dining and communal areas, loss of privacy for the ground floor bedrooms and
increase level of noise nuisance brought about by the level of occupancy, would
erode the established residential character of the area, create substandard living
condition for future occupants and harm neighbouring amenity. The proposal
would therefore represent an over-intensified use of the property, contrary to the
objectives of paragraphs 129 of 135 of the NPPF 2024, policies D3 and D6 of the
London Plan 2021 and policy 7B of the Ealing Development Management DPD
2013.
