Why it was refused
Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
- The proposed first floor rear extension by reason of its siting,
scale, form and design would rear in an obtrusive addition to the
host building which would harm its integrity and the established
rhythm and character of the terrace it is located within to its
detriment, as such it will be contrary to Policies D4 (Delivering
good design) in the London Plan (2021), and LP1 (Design Quality
and Local Character) and LP17 (Housing Design) of the Hackney
Local Plan (2020) and the Residential Extensions and Alterations
Supplementary Planning Document 2009.
