specifically the frame proportions. glazing bars and the appearance of the
uPVC would fail to preserve the character and appearance of the host
building and the terrace it forms part of, thereby having an adverse impact on
the visual amenities of the street scene. It would, therefore, be contrary to
policies LP1 (Design Quality and Local Character), of the Hackney Local Plan
2033 (2020) and policies D3 (Optimising site capacity through the design-led
approach) and D4 (Delivering good design) of the London Plan (2021) and
the SPD Residential Extensions and Alterations (2009).
