inappropriate design, excessive scale and bulk would be an
unsympathetic and visually intrusive form of development, failing to
respect the character and appearance of the hosting dwelling and
the wider terrace, where such proposals are an uncharacteristic
feature. The proposal is considered to be contrary to policies D3
(Optimising site capacity through the design led approach),
policies LP1 (Design Quality and Local Character) of the Hackney
Local Plan 2033, Stamford Hill AAP (Consultation version) policies
AAP3 (Residential Extensions and Alterations), AAP6 (Delivering
High Quality Design) and the Residential Extensions and
Alterations SPD 2009.
