Delegated decision: Refused · Marcus Boddy
Why it was refused
Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
- The proposed two storey side extension, together with the proposed gable end roof, and the intersection
created between the two, would result in an inappropriate roof form which is considered an unduly obtrusive,
bulky and incongruous addition to the original dwellinghouse which would fail to respect the character and
proportions of the dwellinghouse and the visual amenities of the locality and therefore would be contrary to
the high quality design aspiration of the National Planning Policy Framework (2024), Policy D3 (D.1 and D.11)
of The London Plan (2021), Policies GR1 of the Harrow Local Plan (2021-2041) and the relevant provisions of
the adopted Harrow Supplementary Planning Document Residential Design Guide (2010).
