Delegated decision: Refused · Jack Wride
Why it was refused
Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
- The proposed first floor side to rear extension, together with the gable end roof and poor interaction with
the rear dormer, would result in an inappropriate roof form which is considered an unduly obtrusive and
incongruous addition to the original dwellinghouse which would fail to respect the character and proportions of
the dwellinghouse and the visual amenities of the locality and therefore would be contrary to the high quality
design aspiration of the National Planning Policy Framework (2023), Policy D3 (D.1 and D.11) of The London
Plan (2021), Policies DM1 A, B (a), (b) and (c) of the Development Management Policies Local Plan
document (2013) Policy CR1 of the Emerging Local Plan (2021-2041); and the adopted Supplementary
Planning Document: Residential Design Guide (2010).
