Why it was refused

Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The retained 1.8 metre high front boundary fence, by reason of its excessive height, prominent siting and visually intrusive appearance, has an unacceptable impact on the character and appearance of Kilmorie Road in terms of introducing a dominant and incongruous feature that disrupts the prevailing pattern of low and open frontages contrary to Policy QD10 of the Lewisham Local Plan (2025), and the guidance set out in Section 6.8 of the Council's Alterations and Extensions Supplementary Planning Document (2019).
