FRONT (Wells Park Rd): ONE Holly (T1, A1 in TPO, T249 in tree protection plan DC/16/095826)(ht.8m) FELL. Reason: the tree is of low amenity value. It casts excess shade on the lawn and drops excessive leaf litter, which stops the residents using the garden as the leaves are sharp and they have young children. We intend to replace the tree with an Apple tree of the following dimensions - Height is approx 6ft along with the roots and girth of approx 2 inches. Circumference of the main trunk is approx 4-5 inches. I hope that is satisfactory. The County of London (Lewisham No.2) Tree Preservation Order, 1957.

REAR (in Hillcrest Estate Woodland TPO & SINC) T1 - Large, multi-stem sycamore tree. Weak wood characteristic. Asymmetry of tree. Included Bark. Multi Stem. Hanging Branches. Excess weight on branches. Significantly overgrown with ivy. Falling (snapping-out) limbs. Overhanging clients property. Recommendations: Coppice tree by Dismantling. Leave alive stump above ground level. Allow tree to regrow multi-stem stool. Maintain coppiced stool every 5-7 years to prevent damage to the property and people. Sincerely Yours: Mindaugas Jarasius On Behalf of: The Axe Brothers Large, multi-stem sycamore tree of Hillcrest Wood. Tree consists of 7 large stems, each between12-24'' DBH. Approximately half of the tree is significantly leaning toward the clients property which it borders. Crown is significantly overgrown with ivy. Several large limbs have already been reported to have snapped out. Given its size, shape, condition and weak wood characteristics of a sycamore - should larger limbs or stems fail - fear is that tree will most definitely seriously damage the property of 11 Exeter Place, or even worse - cause serious injury or death to the residents and/or visitors. Given the size, structure and the condition of the tree - recommendation is to Coppice the tree as a necessary, remedial/preventative maintenance option, allowing it to regrow a new large multi-stem stool, which is to be maintained every 5-7 years. Professional VTA has been carried out to the tree (T1 in the Tree Location Plan) by The Axe Brothers on the 11.06.2021 Notes: The County of London (Lewisham No.2) Tree Preservation Order, 1957.

FRONT to road, in rear garden: ONE Sycamore (T1, T250 in planning consent DC/11/078207, in TPO area A1)(ht.15m) FELL and REPLACE. Reason: the tree is dead with bark loss, deadwood and no healthy buds visible within the canopy, basal epicormics dead, no external signs of cause of death, adjacent to newly built houses and highway with bus route, high target risk, health & safety. The County of London (Lewisham No.2) Tree Preservation Order, 1957 (Dome Hill Park, Sydenham Hill Area Order) INFORMATIVE A: two replacement trees are required to be planted, a wild service tree and a holly or hawthorn, as adequate replacement within the 1957 Dome Hill TPO and intention of DC/19/113235 for replacement planting of boundary trees with 5 year maintenance plan and long term management plan, to retain the wooded site boundary character within the Sydenham Ridge Special Character Area; and for environmental, climate change and reduction in vehicular air pollution benefits. INFORMATIVE B: retain standing deadwood where safe, leave timber lying for biodiversity and where possible leave the stump and roots of dead broadleaved trees in situ as habitat for the nationally endangered stag beetle which has a stronghold in SE London
