Front garden T1 Horse Chestnut x 1 (Aesculus hippocastanum) This large tree has a large cavity in at base where buttressing root meets the stem. It extends approx. 30-40cm into the core. Also, at approx. 1.2m there is a fungal infection and when a probed the wood tissue was soft for 20-30cm. These issues have got worse since last inspection September 2024. Due to the lean of this tree and its proximity to several properties and pavement and road, we recommend the following works. Suggested works with a view to replant:- Fell to ground level by sectional take down using advanced rigging techniques and the use of a mewp.
