To carry out tree surgery, including the cutting back of overhanging lateral branches on the southern side of the crown by up to 3m; and the cutting back of overhanging lateral branches on the south-western side of the crown to provide up to 2m clearance between the tree and the roof / guttering. The pruning will be graded so that it blends in with the non-pruned parts of the crown.2. To carry out root pruning, including the severance of surface roots no larger than 25mm in diameter (to a depth no greater than 100mm) back to the property boundary (all roots great than 25mm in size to be left intact). The reasons for the proposed works are:1. To exercise a common law right (in a targeted and reasonable manner) to cut back encroaching roots and branches2. To abate an actionable nuisanceAll pruning is to be carried out by a suitably qualified and experienced arboricultural contractor in full accordance with the recommendations contained in BS 3998:2010 'Tree work - Recommendations'.It is requested (in line with the 2012 TPO regulations) that this work be carried out on a cyclical basis as and when required to either abate an actionable nuisance or to cut back to the pruning points that are created as part of this current (2015) application.It is also requested that, should there be any concerns about this application, they are discussed with the arboricultural consultant with a view to making amendments prior to a decision being made.SUBJECT: TPO 1378 (T3)
