Listed Building Consent sought for: The Freeholders of New Crane Limited, due to the new gas regulations, decided against the maintenance of this listed building's flue. As a leaseholder, I am going to change the boiler which is old. This means changing its position from the centre of the flat where the gas pipe and current flue are, to the bathroom, which sees out to a lightwell. This move is what would be the best option according to British Gas and an independent gas technician hired by New Crane Wharf Limited. The boiler will be moved to the bathroom, a gas pipe will run from the airing cupboard in the centre of the flat to the bathroom (from the ceiling) and water pipes from the new boiler to the old airing cupboard. At the same time, a short pipe will come out from the boiler to the lightwell at the back of the building, and act as a new flue.
