T1 - Holly - Remove to ground level. Reason to remove is to allow the magnolia to grow into a better shape and the Holly is causing damage to the neighbours wall with large cracks appearing. Removal will prevent any further damage to neighbours wall - Holly is 20ft height and 10ft wide T3 - Willow - Current height 16m and current width 15m. Pollard back to previous pollard points leaving some new growth - once the tree is pollarded then it would be 7.5m across and 9.5m high.

T2 Lombardy Poplar - Canopy reduction of 5 meters. Current height - 18.5 meters - Proposed reduction of canopy by 5 meters Previous application 23/T1041/TPO was refused for 5 meter reduction as it was deemed that there was insufficient information provided to support the reduction. We would like to revisit this request - When T1 was removed, the decay within the stems reached down by 4 meters - please see the updated photos. We have explained previously that there is visible decay noticeable when T1 was climbed and this tree does pose risk to life/property. Residents are concerned having a large tree so close to parking spaces and public areas with the amount of decay within the tree. For the safety of the residents we would like to request the reduction again with the additional supportive information.

Previous planning approved under 23/T0534/TPO. When the reductions took place it was established that further work was required due to the condition of the T1. A survey was carried out and the advice is to remove T1 and reduce T2. T1 - Lombardy Poplar - remove to ground level. As per tree survey there is internal decay and residual wall is not sufficient enough to allow retention of the tree. The advice is to remove to ground level and propose to replace with Dawyks Beech (Fagus Sylvatica 'Dawyck'). T2 - Lombardy Poplar - Canopy reduction of 5m. Tree Survey confirms the internal structure of the tree is satisfactory however a 5m reduction to the canopy has been recommended as this tree will be exposed once T1 is felled. Current height is 15m.
