T1. Deodar Cedar Front Garden: A tree of great significance and Importance to the area. It appears the tree has had some fairly hefty storm damage re: 1987 storm, and had the top blown out, it's recovered very well, but has had no maintenance for some years, as a result has started to drop smaller branches, and has produced a significant amount of dead branches as expected. The x 2 lowest branches which over extend to and face N.E & S.E towards 157b are extending outside the crown line, and causing some anxiety regarding the possibility of potential failure. Given its current condition, it would be beneficial for deadwood removal and weight reduction of the afore mentioned lowest branches to help lessen the risk of failure. Recommendation for essential works: Remove all dead branches over 2.5 cm in diameter. Thin branch ends by 10% to reduce length by 2m on the lowest N.E and S.E limbs which extend towards 157b (Not supporting or crossing) and to lessen weight and increase stability. Carry out climbing Inspection and observation of branch junctions to ascertain structural integrity of main frame work. The tree's current height is 23m and crown spread is 19m After the proposed works, the tree's height is 23m and the crown spread is 17m (x 2 Lowest Limbs only)

Front Garden Very Mature False Acacia: Further to our recent climbing inspection, it was noted, that adverse movement was evident within the main fork, suggesting that a support system is now required to help prevent future failures. It will also be prudent to lessen weight in the upper crown, to manage spread and reduce risk as the tree overhangs an extremely high risk drop zone and school run. COBRA Bracing: Supply & install a 8 tonne 'Cobra' flexible brace system between two main stems at approx. 9m to pre-empt possible main fork failure. Reduce height by 5m and crown spread by 3m. These works will help improve stability. Tree Height 17m and crown spread 16m. leaving a Tree height of 12m and crown spread of 9m.

T0015 T28 SILVER BIRCH - Crown lift to give clearance of up to 3m from ground level. Lower branches are currently hanging over the pavement. Tree currently stands at approx 15m in height with a diameter of 5m - removing a max of nine of the small lower branches. The biggest branch to be removed is a max of 3.5cm in diameter. The lowest branch to be removed currently sits at 1.5m from ground level and the highest branch to be removed currently sits at 2.5m from ground level. Therefore, the work would involve removing lower branches by 1m. - pruning of any foliage growing downwards from higher branches overhanging and obstructing the pavement to 3m from ground level.
