Committee decision: Refused

Why it was refused

Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposed rear and in-fill extension is considered excessive in terms of height, scale and massing and would have a detrimental impact on the amenity of the neighbours' access to daylight/sunlight and cause a significant sense of enclosure. As such the proposed development is contrary to Policy P56 (Protection of amenity), P14 'Design quality', P15 'Residential Design' and P18 'Efficient use of land' of the Southwark Plan (2022) as well as section 3.4 'Extensions to existing residential dwellings'' of the 2015 technical update to the Residential Design SPD (2011).
