Delegated decision: Refused · Tabitha Lythe
Why it was refused
Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposed first floor side and rear extension, by reason of its siting in a prominent corner
location and excessive cumulative depth along the flank boundary line to the north west and Anton
Crescent, would result in a disproportionate and incongruous addition that would lack subordination to the
main dwelling and would significantly diminish the sense of spaciousness at this corner and along this
section of Anton Crescent, and would appear as an overbearing addition in comparison to neighbouring
properties. As such, the proposal is contrary to Policy 28 of the Sutton Local Plan 2018 and the guidance
contained within SPD 4 'Design of Residential Extensions.
