Delegated decision: Refused · Ben Rochford
Why it was refused
Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposed development, due to the rear extensions excessive depth, would fail to read as
subordinate to the main dwelling, appearing as a disproportionate and excessive increase within the
context of the narrow plot and when viewed against the backdrop of the existing dwelling, and it is
considered that the design of the proposal is therefore unacceptable and would cause harm to the
character of the area contrary to policy 28 of the Sutton Local Plan 2018 and 'Design of Residential
Extensions' SPD4.
