The proposed dormers would not be set away from the hip, eaves or main ridge, and due to their
size and proliferation, would appear to fill the entire roof slope. Due to the design, they would appear
large, flat-roofed and box-like and overall the proposal would appear too bulky, top-heavy and overly
dominant, and it is considered that the design of the proposal is therefore unacceptable and would
cause harm to the character of the area and the streetscene contrary to policy 28 of the Sutton
Local Plan 28 and 'Design of Residential Extensions' SPD4.
