Delegated decision: Refused · Muhsin Ahmed
Why it was refused
Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposed side extension, by reason of its excessive height, bulk and massing,
forward projection beyond the side extension at No. 67 Southover, and its
relationship to differing land levels, would result in an unduly dominant and visually
intrusive form of development.
This would create an unbalanced and incongruous juxtaposition of built form failing
to relate sensitively to the local context of the area contrary to Policy D3 of the
London Plan (2021), Policy CDH01 and CDH05 of the Barnet Local Plan 2025 and
the Residential Design Guidance SPD (2016) and the LB Barnet Residential Design
Guidance SPD (2016).
