Delegated decision: Refused · Joseph Parsons
Why it was refused
Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposed roof extension, by reason of its excessive size, bulk, massing, design
and siting, would result in a disproportionate and unsympathetic addition to the
dwellinghouse. The development would appear overbearing and overly dominant,
to the detriment of the character and appearance of the host property and wider
locality, contrary to Policy D3 of the London Plan (2021), Policies CDH01 and
CDH05 of the LB Barnet Local Plan (2025) and the Residential Design Guidance
SPD (2016).
