Why it was refused
Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposal, by reason of its detailed design, scale, and extent, would appear
visually intrusive and out of keeping with the verdant and open character of the area.
It would harm the character and appearance of the host buildings, the streetscene,
and the Fitzjohns/Netherhall Conservation Area, contrary to policies D1 (Design) and
D2 (Heritage) of the Camden Local Plan 2017 and policies DC1 and DC2 of the
Hampstead Neighbourhood Plan 2025.
