Why it was refused

Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposal, by virtue of its design, cumulative scale with the existing roof extensions, bulk and siting, would appear as incongruous to the character and appearance of the streetscene, the host building and inordinate to the established form of the host pair of semi-detached dwellings. This would have a detrimental impact on the aesthetic quality of the area, in an unwieldly and visually jarring manner. The proposal would be contrary to the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF, 2023), Policy D4 of the London Plan (2021), Policies DMD 6, DMD 8, DMD 13, DMD 14 and DMD 37 of the Development Management Document (2014) and Policies CP4 and CP30 of the Core Strategy (2010).
