Why it was refused

Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposed two-storey side and roof extensions, by reason of their excessive scale and bulk, coupled with their inappropriate form and absence of any set down, would appear as highly visible and incongruous additions which would detract from the character and appearance of the host property, the neighbouring properties and the wider streetscape. As such the proposed development does not comply with Policies 7.4 and 7.6 of the London Plan (2016), Policies DH1 and DH(a) of the Royal Greenwich Local Plan: Core Strategy with Detailed Policies (2014) and the Royal Greenwich Residential Extensions, Basements and Conversions Guidance SPD (December 2018).
