Why it was refused

Reason
As stated on the decision notice
1
The proposed first floor rear extension by reason of its substantial width, depth and cumulative scale and bulk would result in over dominant and incongruous built form which would erode the character and appearance of the application site and would be out of keeping with the surrounding area. The proposal is therefore contrary to the Policy D3 of London Plan (2021), Policies DH1 and DH(a) of the Royal Greenwich Local Plan: Core Strategy with Detailed Policies (July 2014) and RGB Urban Design Guide (Oct 2023).
