property that would fail to preserve or enhance the character and appearance
of the host property and the conservation area. The timber shed, by reason of
its materials and location to the front of the property, would fail to preserve or
enhance the conservation area. The proposed development is
therefore contrary to policies LP1, LP2 and LP3 of the LP33 Hackney Local
Plan 2020 and Policies 3.5 and 7.6 of the London Plan 2016 (as amended)
and guidance contained within Hackney Council’s SPD on ‘Residential
Extensions and Alterations Supplementary Planning Document’ 2009 and
’NPPF’ 2019 (as amended).
