The proposed development would, by reason of its excessive open frontage and loss of soft landscaping, have a detrimental impact on the character and appearance of the application site and would be detrimental to the visual amenity of the surrounding area and be contrary to Policies Q2, Q5, Q9, Q14 and Q15 of the Lambeth Local Plan 2015, Policies Q2, Q5, Q9, Q14 and Q15 of the Draft Lambeth Local Plan 2015, and the Building Alterations and Extension SPD (2015).

The principal of an off-street residential parking bay in this location is not supported as it is contrary to Policy Q14 of the Lambeth Local Plan 2015, Policy T6.1 of the Draft London Plan and Policy Q14 of the Draft Lambeth Planning Telephone 020 7926 1180 PO Box 734 Facsimile 020 7926 1171 Winchester www.lambeth.gov.uk SO23 5DG planning@lambeth.gov.uk REFULZ Lambeth Local Plan.

In the absence of sufficient supporting information, it is considered that the proposed crossover would prejudice pedestrian and highway safety, by virtue of the lack of visibility that would arise from the installation of the a crossover in this location and therefore would be contrary to Polices T1, T2, T3, T6 of the Lambeth Local Plan 2015 and the SPD Building Alterations and Extensions (2015) and the Building Alterations and Extension SPD (2015).
