The tree in question is a mature Walnut tree located in my rear garden of 26 Cavendish Road, N4 1RT. It is identified as T.4 on TPO documentation obtained from the council (attached to this application) The tree is in very old age and has significant rot in the trunk. It does not produce much foliage at all and drop large branches in moderate wind, causing a danger to people and potentially property. Very low amenity value. I am requesting permission to have the tree professionally felled and removed and replaced with a number of new and diverse trees (including mature Acer, Pine and Thuja varieties) which will be planted by a professional landscaping company. Attached is the proposed new garden layout plan contingent on the removal of the tree in question. For context also, the garden has a number of other existing mature trees which are in good condition and will be retained. So overall there are several mature and many smaller trees which will be retained (not subject to TPOs). As a result of the proposed work, the overall number of trees will increase.
