Works to tree protected by a TPO. T1 Cedar of Lebanon After meeting with Daniel Monk, my previous specifications have been altered, so as not to spoil/alter the elegant shape of this specimen tree. However, my aerial photographs, dated 23/2/25, (which will be sent separately) reveal cavities, torn limbs and heavy chafing -which have an impact on the structural integrity of specific major branches. Major branch failure has occurred in the past 10 years. Crown thin by 20-25% to remove the chafing branches and reduce the heavy density of the west facing side of the tree. Reduce by 2.5m the 2 weakened limbs, on the building side of the tree. Remove deadwood.

Works to tree protected by a TPO. T1 Cedar of Lebanon Substantial cavities at 15-16m above ground, where large limbs have broken off. The regrowth, in the upper canopy, from these weakened areas must be considered structurally unsound. The cavities were apparent during an aerial assessment 3-4years ago. The asymmetrical shape of the upper crown testifies to a major limb failure in the past 25-30 years and the subsequent regrowth from this weakened point is of justified concern. Proposed works: reduce height by 2-2.5m, reduce spread of heavy lateral growth by 2-2.25m, remove major deadwood.
