Five Day Notice. Application to remove trees T1 and T2 and T3 as shown in Sketch Plan and Images. All three trees are Fraxinus Excelsior (European Ash) and are self seeded. All 3 trees are dead, and T1 is leaning up against the fence at 32 Haringey Park and appears to be unstable. As all 3 trees are dead, we would like to have them removed safely to avoid any damage to pedestrians and property/ cars. We are particularly concerned about their stability in the event of a storm.

Removal of Common Beech (Fagus Sylvatica) requested. The tree is a self-seed beech between existing fencing and original brick wall boundary. We are planning to replace the dilapidated fence along the original boundary line of the brick wall. The tree has a lopsided canopy, having emerged from between the fence and the boundary wall. If allowed to grow, it will undermine the new boundary fence and neighbour's fence. Access for maintenance purposes is limited. We are in the process of renovating our garden, and our new planting plan includes at least 10 new trees and over 20m of native hedging, which will include beech.

Rear Garden: T1: Mature Apple: Approximately 5.00m. Fell to ground level and treat with systemic herbicide. Reason: The tree is growing very close to the boundary wall of the property and overhangs the conservatory.

Request to fell 2x trees identified as T1 and T2. Both are large C Cupressosyparis Leylandi. Works are:- fell to ground, grind out stumps and all arisings. Rationale:- 1) Concern from neighbouring property re impact on light and shading which is affecting the growth of their lawn, plus a request to have T1 and T2 removed as a result of these issues. 2) The amenity of the rear rooms of 32 Haringey Park is also affected, as they do not get much daylight as a result of T1 and T2; 3) The trees themselves have a low amenity value - they were not maintained regularly when young so they have straggly limbs and the lower trunks are bare; 4) Both T1 and T2 are showing signs of distress at present 5) The ongoing maintenance cost of professional pruning is considerable; 6) Hard pruning trees of this size & maturity runs the risk of them dying off; 7) Cutting into the sides to reduce the lateral spread often reveals bare wood which will not generate new growth; 8) Denuded soil under the trees from lower pH levels and extreme dryness makes them difficult to underplant; 9) The trees are often affected by storms and high winds, and branches have fallen into the neighbouring garden several times, causing a hazard. Replacement As part of a substantial new planting scheme to the wider garden this area would be replanted with large shrubs and hedgerow plants which will provide sufficient privacy screening and attract a vastly greater and more diverse wildlife population.
