Mimosa (1 on sketch plan). Fell because of excessive shading for both our and the adjacent property and low amenity value . We have had the crown reduced within the last six months and the tree has grown again by at least 2 metres. It is now covering half the width of our garden and means that our greenhouse and small vegetable patch get no sunlight. The tree is growing too rapidly to maintain effectively. It is close to the house at the end of our garden and as it gains size, it may become dangerous in high winds. We would like to replace the tree with one strawberry tree.
